The developer, WayForward,  has confirmed that that Shantae for the Game Boy Color will be making its return to the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console this Thursday. The story focused on a young half-genie named Shantae who was appointed as the Guardian Genie of the small fishing town, Relic Hunter, Mimic. But A gang of pirates who is led by the evil Risky Boots steals a prototype steam engine.

Shantae was originally released in 2002 for the Game Boy Color and was published by Capcom.
