Microsoft: Xbox 360 Update Turns Microsoft Points Into Local Currency

Have you turned on your Xbox 360 yet? There’s an update waiting for you. As previously reported, Microsoft will be convert your Microsoft Points into real local currency which was reported at this years E3. If you still have Microsoft Points, they’re still usable but will expire on June 1, 2015.

Here’s our conversion table for North America and Europe. If you need clarification, you can check out the FAQ section the Xbox website.

According to Polygon, the update takes about five minutes to install. A Microsoft representative confirmed that the update will start rolling today in all 41 XBL territories.

“Today we started rolling out the official release of the 2013 Xbox Live Update. To ensure a stable release, this will be a gradual deployment across members and regions. Don’t panic if you don’t see an immediate update, just keep checking back in.”
