Sega’s upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog is full of exciting details and treasures to find. Sonic Lost World, as you know will be a Nintendo system exclusive for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, will have an interesting feature that will allow for cross-platform interaction called RC Gadgets. These items are remote-controlled items that have a variety of effects on our beloved blue blur, Sonic. An example of this cross-platform connectivity is being able to control a helicopter a second player can use to to reach out of reach items as well ad drop bombs on opposing foes from below.
There are reported 30 different Gadgets to collect, each having different attributes. On the Wii U version, players can obtain them by completing aliens called Omochyao and collect a set of rings. The Nintendo 3DS version will feature have Tail’s Laboratory, where players will be able to craft their own Gadgets, and send them to the Wii U.
Sonic Lost World will also have Miiverse integration, where you’ll be able to release your Gadgets into the wild. It’s an interesting use of the Miiverse since you’ll be able to exchange acquire other players Gadget more easily. The best part is that your Gadget, once released will eventually return to you. So you’ll never have to miss it for too long.
Don’t forget that Sonic Lost Worlds has been delayed a week in North America. It will be out for the Wii U and 3DS October 29th rather than the 22nd.siliconera
