Nintendo has announced that it has opened up a new Miiverse community called Camp Miiverse. The new community will see players participate within different in gaming events for both online and local play, post photos of your results in the Miiverse community. These events will have a set amount of time before closing and moving onto the next set of objections. Tom, the moderator, says anyone is welcome provided they have the games that the team will be playing. Here’s what he had to say.

“Starting today for the next few weeks, we’ll be hosting gaming events that will span across Miiverse!

Anyone can join as long as you have the games we’ll be playing. How it works: CHECK OUT our post where we’ll announce each day’s activity. We’ll post it right here in Camp Miiverse. PLAY the game!

Try to beat our challenge! POST your screenshot proving you beat our challenge in THAT GAME’S COMMUNITY. Over there! Not here! RESULTS will be posted the next day.

Events will generally be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For Mondays and Wednesdays you’ll have all day to play, and events held on Fridays will run all weekend long.”

Followed the above post, details of the first challenge followed:

“Hi campers! Here’s the first challenge: Hit a home run during a game in Wii Sports Club Baseball! In either Online Game or Local Game, play and hit a home run!

Once you do, post a screenshot with the “Home Run” on the screen on the Wii Sports Club Community using either tags “Team Mario” or “Team Zelda”. Choose your team wisely!

You’ll have until this Sunday 7/20 at 11:59pm PT to post your screenshot proving you hit a home run. We’ll tally up the results on Monday to see which team received more screenshots!

Some pointers: +Keep in mind that the “Home Run” will only be displayed for a few seconds, so act fast!

+Remember that it has to be from either Online Game or Local Game!

The screenshot has to have the scores and stats on the top corners,

+Make sure to post your screenshot to the Wii Sports Club community! I’ll be posting my pic shortly.

+If you don’t own the full game, a time-limited demo is available for download on the Nintendo eShop.

Good luck campers, and and may the best team win!”
