Microsoft May Allow Indie Developers To Self Publish, Less Hoop Jumping For The Indie

An anonymous developer has told Gamereactor that Microsoft may be changing its publishing policies for their new system, the Xbox One. If this happens, this will allow small independent developers to self publish on their platform. Where as, larger and more established developers are more restricted as to not allow software to flood the market with software. There is some kind of selection process involved but what that may be isn’t know at this time.

So what does this mean exactly? Our guess is that it’ll allow independent developers to get their product out more easily without having actively seeking a publisher. That would be great since many independent developers have actively complained about this.
