Microsoft: No Xbox One External Storage Not At Launch

Gaming After Hours

According to Microsoft’s Major Nelson explains, “The future plan is for definitely to support external storage much like we do on the Xbox 360. My understanding is that feature will not be there at launch because the team is working on some other things, but it definitely is on the list. I don’t know when it will come in though.”

The Xbox One will come with a 500GB internal hard drive but it won’t be interchangeable like the Xbox 360. Back in March, Microsoft confirmed that you will be able to use external storage devices that can be connected through a USB 3.0 port to use for game installs and downloads.

Do you think the Xbox One’s 500GB hard drive is enough? Do you think this will be problematic in the future?
