Welcome to Gaming After Hours: A freelancing website where future journalist express themselves and get noticed.
Steam has created a new feature called Trade Offers that allows you to send “prepackaged trade” to your friends. This feature is similar to regular trading but you’ll be able to trade items for both sides.
You select the items you’re willing to give up from your inventory and what you’d like to receive from your friend, and send it off. Your friend will receive a notification in the green drop down and can then choose to accept, decline, or make a counter offer… Plus, trade offers can be sent and received using a web browser.
Interesting enough, you don’t have to be online at the same time to make this transaction. There are few places where you can create an offer like the Trade Offer page that is located in your Inventory as well as your friends. You can also do this from your Badge pages as well.
Here are a couple of frequently asked questions:
Who can I send an offer to?
Currently you can send trade offers to your friends, though we may expand this in the future. Note that trade offers respect Inventory privacy settings, so if your friend has their inventory set to “Private” you cannot send them a trade offer.
Can I send more than one offer with the same items?
Yes, you can send more than one offer containing the same items. When an offer is accepted any other pending offers with the same items will expire.
How long is a trade offer good for?
Trade offers automatically expire after 2 weeks. You can see the offer expiration date at the bottom of a pending offer. You can cancel any pending offers from the Trade Offers page.
You can visit the “Trade Offer page by going logging onto your Steam account via Big Picture and replacing “YourSteamAccount with your actual account Steam account ID.

Oh yea! Fez is currently 50% off form its original asking price. So instead of paying $9.99, you’ll only pay $4.99 instead but the offer will end on September 9th.
