Nintendo’s Wii U/3DS maintenance and system update will arrive at 8:00 PST today

According to a Nintendo  technical representative, the new Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS update is scheduled to finish at 8:00 PM pacific time today. Currently all Nintendo related services such as the eShop and StreetPass Mii Plaza update option, are temporarily down to make way for the new update.

When we contacted Nintendo about the update, the Nintendo technical representative said, that “we’re still doing maintenance on the Nintendo Network services. It should be done by 8:00 pacific [today]. So any services that [Nintendo] provide are down because of it. You should check back tomorrow morning or about 8:00 if you can’t wait.
