Welcome to Gaming After Hours: A freelancing website where future journalist express themselves and get noticed.
Reports are coming in that the Last of Us is making its way to the PlayStation 4. Though Sony hasn’t offically announced a port of the survival horror game. But according to Software Marketing manager, Sercan Sulun, let it slip that a port of the successful Naughty Dog game is in the works, according to a recent CNN Turk video interview.
According to IGN, Sulun told CNN Turk:
“There is no information about a new The Last of Us game but I can share this knowledge: As of this summer, The Last of Us will be on the PS4. Both on PSN and physically. The PS4 version will also include the DLC so you will be able to play Left Behind as well.”
As previously reported by Eurogamer, there has been talks within the studio about possibly porting the Last of Us and it being bundled with its new story DLC for the PlayStation 4.
“It’s something where we can have a feel of where the demand is, and where our time is best spent. It’s something that we’ll figure out as we move forward.”
A contradiction report from Joystiq who received the following statement from a representative for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe said: “‘At no time have we announced that The Last of Us is coming to PS4 and therefore, have nothing to say on the subject.”
Gaming After Hours perspective:
So for now, gamers will have to play the waiting game and see what will happen. Though it is probably safe to assume that it is being worked on behind closed doors but both Naughty Dog, nor Sony are ready to confirm it. Regardless, if there’s a demand, you can bet that someone will make it a reality.
