Fable Creator Peter Molyneux Says Xbox One Kinect is a Joke
Fable creator Peter Molyneux expressed his views about the Xbox One and it requiring the use of a camera saying that he expects Microsoft to eventually release the system without the the Kinect. Removing the Kinect will also be an effective way for Microsoft to cut cost on the Xbox One.
Speaking with Edge, Molyneux said:
“I’m sure [Microsoft is] going to release an Xbox One without Kinect. It would be unthinkable that they wouldn’t. I actually wish Kinect wasn’t a requirement. It feels like an unnecessary add-on to me. Maybe it’s because we’re in England, and it doesn’t really use the TV stuff, but it feels more and more like a joke. My son and I sit there saying random things at it, and it doesn’t work.”

Many of us like Molyneux’s work and how creative he is as a developer. No none is denying that. But this is also the man who failed to deliver on many of his promises.
