Lindney Lohan sues over GTA V for using her likeness

It was previously reported that actress, Lindsey Lohan was preparing to sue developer Rockstar over the use of her likeness in the hugely successful Grand Theft Auto V.

Today, that lawsuit has been confirmed.

Lohan’s attorneys have filed on Wednesday under a Manhattan court which claims the character, Lacey Jonas, is an unequivocal reference to Lohan. “Lohan’s image, voice and styles from her clothing line are depicted. Also, the game features a depiction of West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont Hotel, where Lohan once lived.” The suit was filed in New York City, the hometown of Rockstar.

It’s worth noting that NowGamer was able to confirm that Jonas’ character design is based on model Shelby Welinder, who admitted to lending her likeness to the character.
