Lindsay Lohan Sues Rockstar Over GTA V Character
Actress, Lindsay Lohan, sues Rockstar for allegedly using her likeness in the smash hit, GTA V.
The Associated Press reports, Lohan’s attorneys preparing to filed suit under a Manhattan court which claims the character, Lacey Jonas, is an unequivocal reference to Lohan. “Lohan’s image, voice and styles from her clothing line are depicted. Also, the game features a depiction of West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont Hotel, where Lohan once lived.”
The suit gives reference to an escort mission where players must help the troubled starlet avoid a desperate paparazzi photographer. Lohan believes this is a shot at how popular a target she is to the paparazzi.
Lohan’s past troubles may resemble the character, Lacey Jonas, but the same can be said for numerous young Hollywood starlets.
The suit may be a legitimate attempt to repair her image, or, in light of the huge success of GTA V, Lohan may be looking to cash in.
