Darksiders 2 will be a Wii U Launch Title
Developer Vigil Games confirmed that Darksiders II is launching on the Wii U day one and that Darksiders is being developed along side the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions.If you were expecting a drastic advancement for the Wii U version of Darksiders 2, you might want to find this a little disappointing. Hayden Dalton, lead designer at Vigil Games states the that Wii U version “basically [won’t be] heavily changing the core game to support the control system, but the control system will be an enhancement of the core game,” Dalton said.
From what we can gather from the article is that the general flow of the the game will be enhanced because you’ll be able to switch equipment on the fly — as the player is running, they can tap on the controller and instantly change equipment, rather than having to pause and navigate through a menu.” Dalton also mentioned that the Wii U controller added abilities to do certain things that you can’t do on the other consoles.
