Bungie easter egg found in Halo 3

One of the interesting things about gaming is finding hidden easter eggs tucked within the games. Sometimes, it’s simply a reference to past projects, other times it’s a photo or a personal message.

Players have searched for for years as Bungie teased gamers for this particular hidden gem, leaving a trail of little clues in their Q & A community posts. Fans knew the egg occurred on a particular day, and that it was somewhere in the Halo 3 loading screen. One of the programmer Adrian Perez left some clues for players to go on. When asked back in 2012 what his proudest moment was during his time at Bungie, Perez said, “Showing my wife the easter egg I put in the Halo 3 loading screen for her – the one that nobody has found.“
