Mario Kart 8 DLC will soon arrive – Kart Racing enthusiast race as Link and Tanooki Mario
The UK Nintendo Store showed that Mario Kart will be receiving new content in the form of two Add On Content packs. Each of these AOC packs will add three new characters, 4 vehicles, eight courses and two new cups.
The first pack adds Link, cat-suit Peach and tanooki-suit Mario, as well as four vehicles and eight tracks. It will be available in November of this year.
Pack 2 adds Animal Crossing’s Villager, Isabelle from Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the skeletal Dry Bowser, four vehicles and eight tracks.
The first pack will release November 2014 and the second pack will release May 2015.
“…The Add On Content packs include classics like Wario’s Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii, as well as new courses, some taking place in the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. New vehicles will also arrive with each pack, including the Blue Falcon kart representing the F-Zero franchise in the first AOC pack.”
Both packs are listed for £7.
Mario Kart 8 Pack 1 – Released: November 2014
Pack 1 includes:
- 3 Characters: Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, Link
- 4 Vehicles
- 8 Courses
Mario Kart 8 Pack 2 – Released: May 2015
Pack 2 includes:
- 3 Characters: Villager, Isabelle, Dry Bowser
- 4 Vehicles
- 8 Courses
As a bonus for purchasing both packs – as a bundle or separately – you can get eight different-colored Yoshis and eight different-colored Shy Guys that can be used right away.
