PlayStation Portable (PSP) owners of Sony’s first dedicated handheld game console will lose access to the PlayStation Store come September 15 in Europe, Asia, Oceana and some parts of Africa.
Traditionally, PSP owners could directly assess the digital store through the console. But after September 15th, you won’t be able to do so, however you still be able to purchase digital content through the Sony Entertainment Network Online Store via any computer and will still be able to re-download any previous purchases from the downloads list from the PSP menu, Sony has confirmed to IGN.
Currently there is no word when this will change will happen in the Americas but it goes without saying that it will happen, depending on fluctuation of the market trends. It’s also unknown if in-game downloadable content can still be access directly through the game.
